Upper Midwest vascular network
The Upper Midwest Vascular Network (UMVN) members are hospitals and specialists in vascular disciplines including interventional radiology, neuroradiology, cardiology, vascular and endovascular surgery, practicing in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and North and South Dakota.
The UMVN participates in the Society for Vascular Surgery’s Vascular Quality Initiative® via the Fivos PATHWAYS® database. Each participant submits procedure-related data to the VQI on varying registries and the UMVN reviews regional outcomes to identify areas for best practices, quality improvement and further study, with the goal of ever-improving health outcomes for patients and improving the efficacy and cost of treatment.
The group meets twice-annually in the Spring and Fall to share recent quality improvement activities, vascular-related research and informatics improvements.
