Peripheral Vascular Intervention

The SVS VQI is pleased to offer the Peripheral Vascular Intervention (PVI) Registry. There are two options for capturing PVI procedures – a comprehensive PVI, and a basic PVI.

Basic PVI, which has approximately 40% fewer data fields, is specifically designed with office-based labs and physicians’ offices in mind. Centers participating in Basic PVI will not be able to request data for quality research and will not be able to participate in PVI industry studies.

Comprehensive PVI is still the most appropriate option for most VQI centers, as it is the only choice that allows opportunities for data requests for quality research and participation in industry studies. Comprehensive PVI incorporates critical details about specific devices used in PVI treatment, and was designed to align with the Registry Assessment of Peripheral Interventional Devices (RAPID) – a joint effort of the VQI, NCDR, FDA and industry to standardize core data elements for PVI.

“We are excited to be participating in this critically important program, which defines real world outcomes for patients with peripheral vascular disease.”

Scott Berman, MD FACS
