Amputation Procedure Coming to the VQI

There are currently eight procedures for which data is collected in the VQI.

The demand for adding amputation to the VQI has increased significantly. The Quality Committee of the SVS PSO has completed their deliberation on this procedure, and has decided to move forward.

Currently, the relevant data fields are being determined, and their parameters and actions identified. This is an intense process, as the powerful features of the M2S Cloud-Based Registry allow for more dynamic input and complex possibilities, such as having options become visible based on an answer to a variable.

There is also a balance that needs to be found with regards to what data to collect. While there is a great tendency to include more data, this ultimately adds to the burden of collection and analysis.
